Andre NARE (Norwegian Antarctic research Expedition) ekspedisjon 1978-79. Ekspedisjonen ble ledet av Olav Orheim fra Norsk Polarinstitutt, og ekspedisjonsskipet var isbryteren “Polarsirkel”. Ekspedisjonen omfattet to hovedtokt, et tokt til Bouvetøya og et tokt til Dronning Maud Land.

The second Norwegian Antarctic research Expedition in 1978-79 was lead by Olav Orheim, Norwegian Polar Institute. The ship used for the expedition was the icebreaker called “Polarsirkel”.
