Moscow born Oleg Duo blends photography with a digital manipulation more at home in computer games. He leaves images looking real, but not as real as real life. A half way house between fantasy and fiction.
He grew up in a family of artists and took to photography from an early age. His pursuit of beauty is a tangential one, but it’s a mission he seems dedicated to:
“I am looking for something bordering between the beautiful and the repulsive, living and dead. I want to attain the feeling of presence one can get when walking by a plastic manikin.”
On his website, he says:
“Being electrocuted when I was two years old is the first thing I remember.”
