Real Birds Vs Dinosaurs & Other Toys
For the last couple of months, I’ve been taking pictures of real birds interacting with toy dinosaurs. I can’t remember why I decided it was a great idea, but it happened, and I’m glad that it did. It gives me something to do.
As for my method, I simply lay out some bird food next to a plastic dinosaur or three and set up my iPhone to take a photo every 5 seconds. After an hour or so, I reclaim my phone and trawl through the resulting photos, picking out any that feature an avian guest.
I’m not addicted to doing it, but I am compelled to do it. It’s become a huge distraction… but, you know, what else am I going to do? I’ve posted most of the following photos on my Facebook page already, but I thought it might be nice to put them all in one warm, lovingly curated bird/dinosaur silo.
Before anyone kicks off and cries “CHEAT,” I know that not all of the pictures feature dinosaurs; there are some Barbie snaps and a couple of polar bears in there, but, whatever, no one’s perfect are they? apart from the Queen and Tony Blair, obviously.
