I am currently reading Ward Six by Chekhov. Mostly because I want to be able to tell people I’ve read some Chekhov, and Ward Six is short. Every time I pick the book up I feel slightly more worldly-wise and well read. I feel a bit full of myself to be honest. Then I remember what it’s like over in mother Russia these days and I stop taking myself so seriously.
