Lovely Looking Van Gogh Cycle Path Opens In Holland

Recently, a solar-powered LED-lit bike path was opened in the town of Nuenen, Netherlands. Nuenen was once home to Van Gogh, so the path has been named after him by the design team from Studio Roosegaarde.

The Van Gogh-Roosegaarde Bicycle Path uses nothing but solar energy to produce this rather pleasing effect. According to the designers, the path was inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s painting The Starry Night.

If you ask me, I think it might be a bit distracting to cyclists and a major safety hazard. But that’s just me, I’m a miserable git.
