Rosa Verloop is a Dutch artist who makes sculptures in a less than standard medium. Her chosen sculpting material is nylon stockings. Well, actually, she uses loads different materials in her work, but she’s managed to get a fair bit of exposure thanks to the tights based stuff.
She pins together, in meticulous detail, the most abhorrent looking humanoids I think I’ve ever seen. They sort of look like rancid meat crossed with old lady’s cankles. Having said that, I still absolutely love them. I just wouldn’t want one on my mantle piece.
