Here’s your final installment of the Global Selfie Project where we stare unapologetically at people from across the globe. I wanted to collect a selfie taken in every country, I’ve almost managed it…
I’ve tried to avoid the easy selfies of teen girls, because they’re everywhere and part of a teenage girl’s mandate is to try and look as similar to the next one as possible. So that would have been a boring collection, one pout is pretty much the same as another.
If I struggled to find an interesting selfie for an individual country I just used a photo of some of that country’s indigenous people; I think that was my main reason for doing this any way: I just like gorping at people.

That’s the end of the “official” list of UN member and observer states, but of course the world isn’t as simple as that. So here are a few additional selfies from countries that aren’t recognised more widely.
