Lion Vs Buffalo

Lions absolutely love nibbling on a buffalo. On the other hand buffalo absolutely hate being nibbled on by lions. This discrepancy in tastes has shaped the lion and buffalo’s relationship over the course of their natural history.

The lion has its teeth and nails but the buffalo has security in number and size (and some might argue, stupidity). In general a buffalo won’t protect its fellow buffalo, there’s no real advantage in doing so, but when there are babies carrying their genetic code around or when mating season is on, they will put up a bloody fight to the death if necessary.
