People can be pretty dense, and medicine is a complex subject, so it’s no surprise that there’s going to be a mismatch when the two worlds collide. Doctors have to speak to all of the people, from all of the towns and villages. I’m sure every single medical worker in the world has a long, long list of stupidity to recount, if only it wasn’t illegal to break patient doctor privacy laws.
I found this bunch of anonymous stories from doctors (mostly American I think) and thought I’d pass them your way. I’m well aware that some of them could be fake, but they’re just mad enough and not too mad to believe so I’m going to suspend my disbelief and chortle along.
