Dario Puggioni: Sinister But Classic Images
Fell free to dim the lights whilst viewing this post. Below is a collection of works by Dario Puggioni. Puggioni was born in Brunei, studied art in Rome and now lives in Berlin. He builds his disturbing images layer by layer using enamel, ink, acetic acid and oil on aluminum and copper.
Puggioni’s paintings certainly have a classical edge – using sitters and confident detail – but, they also have a macabre modernism to them that cuts through like a dirty blunt instrument.
