English Rednecks / Why I Don’t Go Clubbing

I found a bunch of photos on a Russian website today ripping the Michael out of us Brits. It was titled “English Rednecks” and it’s a lovingly collated silo of photos taken in English nightclubs. Essentially it’s British people looking their worst in the worst places at the worst time of day.

I don’t know about you but I quite like to see other countries taking the mickey out of us. It always makes me smile. The French call us “Roast Beef” which is no kind of insult at all, seeing as roast beef is awesome. People in the Mediterranean think of the English as beer swilling, tattooed, lobster coloured neanderthals which is pretty much spot on. The Australians think we’re uptight wingers – that’s a fact, and Islamic countries thinks we’re ridiculously liberal and amoral.

The Russians, it seems, see us as a bunch of tramps, according to this post. The pictures are pretty funny either way… (FYI if you want more pictures like this don’t bother trying budzbar.co.uk, it’s one of those ad trap type sites).
