Lizard Found On Mars and Other Martian Nonsense

Lizard Found On Mars By Curiosity Rover

A photo went up on the UFO Sightings Daily blog the other day, which “shows” a lizard on Mars. Before you laugh too hard, look at the picture below, then you can have a good long laugh. It just looks like a rock.

The picture was taken by Curiosity Rover and some (well, at least one person) are saying that NASA left it there as an experiment.

Now, there’s a few issues with that. Firstly, the atmosphere on Mars is mostly carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and argon, so the poor critter won’t be able to breath. Secondly, the temperature on Mars goes from a balmy 27 degrees C down to -107, which is too nippy for a lizard. Thirdly, it’s a rock:

While I was visiting the blog, I thought I may as well see what other doozies he had up his sleeve.

The first one I came across was a “mother ship” hovering above a crater on the moon. This ship is apparently 10km long…. seems a bit fuzzy round the edges, though?

According to the blog’s author, it’s the same shape as the Star Trek Enterprise. It isn’t, is it though?

Next up, they found a squirrel on Mars! This is the best one, and you can see the original NASA image here if you don’t believe them. It sort of does look like some kind of rodent. But… it isn’t.

So, the squirrel is my favourite, and these last two are my least favourites. Whoever writes this blog isn’t even trying. Apparently the top one is a giant caterpillar alien, and the bottom one is a statue of a reptilian figure wearing a crown?? Balderdash:
