Regional Japanese Flags: Beautiful and Unusual
I recently published a post showcasing some of the most glorious flags of the world. This time, I’m focusing on regional flags from Japan.
Japan has individual flags for each of it’s prefectures, similar to the UK’s county flags.
These regional flags are far removed from the pomp and ceremony of British heraldic monstrosities. The simplicity of the symbols is striking, especially when matched with colours you rarely see on flags.
