Bit of a weird hobby. But hey ho, it’s better than doin’ nowt I suppose. Anne-Catherine Becker-Echivard takes real life, dead fish and turns them into undead sculptures.

Paris born Becker-Echivard builds an intricate set, sometimes over a few months, nips down the fish mongers to get her models, takes some photos, then cooks up her work. She’s been at it for 16 years now. If she’s happy, then I’m happy.

I was going to run through a few fish based puns before showing you the pictures but I can’t be bothered….. apparently she’s a prawn again Christian…. only yolking… oh no, that’s egg-based…. erm… I could tell you more but I’m feeling a bit shellfish….. erm….. that’ll do, I’ve haddock enough of this plaice. “Stop carping on about fish you’re giving me a haddock.” OK.

Here’s Becker-Echivard’s labour of love…
