Russian Doctor Punches Heart Patient In Perm

I woke up in a good mood today, that’s a rare pleasure, so I decided I would write something. You know, share my joy with the world, make it a brighter place. I had a look about for some hilarious clips or a picture of Justin Bieber wearing a funny hat or whatever, but instead I came across this. I could have ignored it and carried on my wander through the wicked web…. but it stopped me in my tracks.

So I apologise if you are in a good mood and this ruins it, but if you are in a dark mood you’ll probably get off on it.

The clip is set in Russia (quelle suprise) and actually took place in February but the footage has only recently slipped onto Youtube. It features a heart patient who has recently undergone surgery and a doctor. The doctor punches the guy, who is obviously tethered to his bed after surgery, in the face. Then wallops him clear in the vicinity of his struggling heart. The experienced doctor is Andrey Votyakov, chief of the prestigious hospital’s anaesthesiology and intensive care department, in Perm, in the Urals. He later blames his actions on a long and tiring shift. That’s not really good enough as an excuse is it?

He is quoted as saying…

As soon as I came into the room with my team he started to call me various derogative names. And I just got blown away by it. We had spent so much time with his very complicated case to help him recover and he said not a single word of gratitude. And then the chronic tiredness added to it. I got carried away, and I punched him several times at the presence of my colleagues.

The patient died soon after and the Police are investigating, Andrey lost his job and may well face jail time, as you’d hope….. sorry for darking you out guys…..
